Bloom in the Park -- Malmö, Sweden

This restaurant has one Michelin Star, so we had a great hope.

ミシュラン１つ星のレストランだ。

 Before dinner we had a drink in the terrace.

ディナーの前にテラスでドリンクを頂いた。

大根のようなもので巻かれている。

美味しかった。

Black bread!

黒いパン！

I liked this dish best.

これが一番美味しかった。

I didn't like these desserts at all....

これらのデザートは全く好みでなく、食べなかった。

Lovely idea!

これは素敵な仕掛けであった。

And the "Damage".

そして「損害」（笑）。

I don't drink alcohol so I can't tell,

but my husband really enjoyed the wine course, too.

私はお酒を飲まないのでわからないが、

夫によるとワインコースも良かったらしい。

It was an interesting experience as you have to guess the ingredients.

材料を推測して食べないといけないので

ある意味楽しい経験だった。

デザートにはかなり不満が残るが....。

Jamie's Italian (Yet Again)

This is my third time to come to this restaurant in 2015.

今年に入ってここの来るのは3度目！

This time, it was for our St. Valentine's dinner.

今回はバレンタインデーのディナー。 

Tasty & tasty.

I got so full that I had to skip the dessert.

食べ過ぎてデザートは諦めた。

前回パスタ以外にも挑戦したいと書いたが、

ここの手作りパスタは本当に美味しいので

またまたパスタにしてしまった。

 

Jamie's Italian (Again!)

I wrote a short blog about this restaurant earlier this year.

And I went there again (this is my third time since I wrote the entry!!).

This is the bread we got.

I really love their home made pasta.

This restaurant is one of my (few) favourite restaurants in Ireland now.

まだパスタしか食べた事ないから

Saturday Lunch at One Pico

Not too formal, not too casual.

The food was delicious.

I like it!

One Pico site.

Alpino Restaurant

Went out for a dinner at Alpino,

with my husband's Japanese teacher,

her husband and daughter.

This restaurant is run by 

her student who is originally from Turkey.

Alpinoという地中海料理のレストランに行って来た。

先生のトルコ人の生徒さんが

オーナーだ。

Turkish pizzas.

トルコ風ピザ。

I hadn't eaten nice pizzas like these for a long time.

こんなに美味しいピザを食べるのは久しぶり。

コーヒーも美味しかった。

大満足！！

I thought the home made pasta was very nice.

(I had Spaghetti Alla Norma.)

And the dessert was nice, too!

Matt the Thresher

Went out for a meal at Matt the Thresher,

With my husband's colleagues.

夫の会社のあるイベントでディナーに招待され、

Matt the Thresher,に行ってきた。

The food was great, but the service was too slow!

美味しかったが食事が出るのが遅かった。

Shanai Indian Cuisine Restaurant

Had a lovely dinner for St. Valentine's Day at

 Shanai Indian Cuisine Restaurant.

ヴァレンタインデイにディナーに行った。

TaTandoori Jumbo Prawn Masala 

with really Jumb Prawns!

The restaurant was decorated with Valentine balloons,

the staff were very friendly, 

and they even gave me a rose!

(My husband didn't!!)

レストラン内はヴァレンタイン用に

風船で装飾され、

女性客にはバラを一輪プレゼント！

The food was very tasty.

I'll certainly go back again.

食べ物もおいしかったし

スタッフもフレンドリーで、

とてもよかった。

また行きたい。

 

Roly Saul

We had a  meal at Roly Saul, 

one of my favourite restaurants in Dublin,

to celebrate a publication of the first novel

by one of my husband's relatives.

夫の親族の1人が

定年退職後に書き始めた小説が出版された。

そのお祝いのために

I haven't read the novel yet,

as my husband's still reading it,

but I'm looking forward to reading it.

Dobbins

We went to Dobbins to celebrate

our 12th wedding anniversary on 1st August.

結婚12周年のお祝いに

Dobbinsで食事をした。

It was not too formal to be pretentious, 

and the staff are friendly and helpful.

The chips were the best chips I've ever had.

フレンチフライが美味しかった。

これを食べるためだけにでも

また行きたい（笑）。

Pavlova.

Chapter One

Went to Food & Wine magazine's Readers' Evening at Chapter One. Had a good time. Though I wasn't impressed with the starter or the 'sashimi' style organic salmon (there was nothing sashimish about it!!), I was very very impressed with the dessert. The gratin and the slow cooked 'cow's cheek' was tasty, too.

次のダブリンのイベントに行きたかったが、チケットは全部売り切れであった。
向かいのドイツ人のご主人とアイルランド人の奥様のご夫婦とのお話も楽しかった。

Beaufield Mews

Went to Beaufield Mews where my friend had a wedding reception. This is where we had our wedding reception 9 years ago, and my friend and his then girl friend were our guests, too.

The food was lovely (just like 9 years ago!). And it's very near our house, only 10 minutes' drive.

家が近いんだからもっと行きたい。レストランだけではなくアンティークやアートのディーラーでもある。

Lucca Italian Restaurant, Fort Lauderdale, Florida

通りの向かいにあるギリシャ料理のレストランが大賑わいで、実は最初はそっちの方に行きたかった。でも美味しかったのでこっちにしてよかった。

The Floridian, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA

Found this place in our guidebook. It was very busy with people having Sunday brunch as the guidebook says. A lot busier than any other cafes or restaurants. I tried pancakes. They're enormous as this is USA! And a lot nicer than the ones I had in New York. This place is open 24 hours a day, so I may try one of these nights when I can't sleep.

Han Yang Korean BBQ Restaurant

Went with my husband, my husband's father & step-mother, my Irish friend and my Japanese friend. It seems to be run by Chinese people and serve Chinese, Korean and Japanese food. The Japanese food wasn't great (my husband and his step-mother tried), but the Korean food was OK. I tried Bibimbap (see the photo). The serving was very generous (in fact, it was too generous and none of us could finish the meal). The people working there don't speak English very well. I wouldn't mind going back there for Chinese & Korean food (but not Japanese).

ビビンバは中々だったし、キムチ鍋を頼んだ友人も美味しかったと言ってたけど、ナンチャッテカツ丼とか牛丼はイマイチのようだった。でもご飯はまあまあだった。
